The FIFA Quality program for soccer balls

The FIFA Quality program is a certification program for soccer balls established by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to ensure that soccer balls used in official matches meet certain performance standards.

The FIFA Quality program has two levels of certification: FIFA Quality Pro and FIFA Quality.

FIFA Quality Pro is the highest level of certification and is reserved for professional match balls that are used in major international tournaments, including the World Cup. These soccer balls must pass a series of stringent tests to ensure that they meet the highest standards for performance and durability.

FIFA Quality is the second level of certification and is for soccer balls that are used in training and match play at the highest levels of the game. These soccer balls must also pass a series of tests to ensure that they meet certain performance standards.

The tests that soccer balls must pass to be certified under the FIFA Quality program include measurements of size, weight, circumference, rebound, water absorption, and shape retention. The ball also must be tested for the amount of air pressure and the amount of air leakage

FIFA Quality program ensures that the soccer balls used in official matches will play consistently across different conditions, and also sets a standard for ball manufacturers to strive for in the development of new soccer balls.
